Shakespeare’s Birthday – 23rd April

Each year there are celebrations in Stratford upon Avon to commemorate the birthday (and coincidentally the day Shakespeare died). Stratford upon Avon will be a vibrant hub of activity with thousands expected to celebrate in the town.
The centrepiece of the event is usually a Shakespeare Birthday Procession featuring the Ceremony of the Quill and often a of balloons—one for each year since Shakespeare’s birth—as well as the traditional unfurling of the flags of the nations.
