It’s a delight for us to announce that we are Double Award Winners! A couple of months ago we were recognised by an independent hotel agency as one of the top UK Staycation hotels in the country, a very welcomed surprise (read more here).

With the difficulties and uncertainties we have all faced this year, we are still optimistic and dedicated to offering top class hospitality. What does it mean to be boutique?

You have probably seen or visited a Boutique Hotel before, but what does this actually mean? Here are some of the typical characteristics that are distinctive of a Boutique Hotel like Burnside.

Strong Personality

The nature of a Boutique Hotel is to be personal with it’s guests, offering a unique and accommodating service. As Burnside is independently owned, we love to show our personality to our customers and strive to make your stay welcoming and comfortable.

Contemporary Style

A boutique hotel is not stuffy; it should be light and airy with modern décor and contemporary colour palettes.  Modern furnishings and spacious rooms are the hallmark of boutique hotel, see our boutique hotel rooms for example.

Less than 100 rooms

Generally a boutique hotel is smaller than 100 rooms, but it isn’t too small either. Less than 10 rooms would be considered a B&B or inn. Here at Burnside we have 21 luxury hotel rooms.

Local Passion

A boutique hotel reminds you of where you are, it takes pride in the heritage of its location. Stratford Upon Avon is our home and the land of Shakespeare, we will wear our heart on our sleeve, we want to share our location and history with everyone.
